Emily stared into the dark, shadow-filled, hole her blond hair cascading down her back. Looking down at her flashlight, she fumbled with it until it came to life, heart pounding in her chest. Around her echoed the eerie sounds of the nighttime woods. Her father's voice echoed in her mind, "remember Emily. Never go into the woods at night. They're dangerous, and full of harmful beasts."
The bushes rustled behind her causing the girl to spin around gripping the flashlight tightly in both hands. The beam of light shaking as it surveyed the path she'd taken to get here. A squirrel peeked out of the bus
